Not a good idea. TR 224 ramp rates are too aggressive for yellow springs. If you wanna keep beehives then comp 918s or PAC beehives is what you want.

No, it should not be done. Period, end of story.

We just went this this subject (again) recently. LS6 springs are marginal even on an LS6 stock cam and are dead wrong for an aftermarket cam.

To clear things up, the yellow LS6 springs found on the LS2/3 engines are rated to .570 lift. I've ran them before on a softer lobe .540 Cam Motion cam with no problems. Anything over .550 is going to be iffy depending on the aggression of the profile, and valve springs really aren't something you want to gamble on.

Do yourself a favor and buy the PSI 1511 Maxlife springs. They're the best beehive spring on the market, cheaper than PAC 1518's, and have a 0% failure rate. On a low lift cam like the TR224, you could run the PSI's for 100,000 miles without any issues assuming correct pushrod length was measured/installed.

Not 100% correct. Ive been to OEM spring manufacturing facilities and they strive for a 0% failure rate on their super low stress 100k+ mile valvesprings without success. Ive also been through the process of an aftermarket valvespring which is a much different beast and failure always follows. Any small inclusion in the material can make any spring fail, performance springs fail even more often.

They might have a low failure rate but I promise you its not zero!
