Sorry i didn't post where i gone through some problem with the car

I got the car idel tune, but still it get suring from 1500 ~ 1800 rpm that causes problem, and the vaccum pressure needed for the breaks was an issue that is still wasn't nailed yet, but at higher rpm it drives good, but noticed that torque is high at around 4200 rpm where the tires spins hardly which honestly was fun but not that fun between traffic lights.

However, the fun have a short time, when reaching home the engine cooling water gauge level was suddenly increasing. I stopped the car and let it cool down for some time and checked cooling level and found 1/2 empty but no signes of external leaks, but when i checked oil level i found a milkish oil in the oil dib stick which is a sign of mixed oil with cooling water, thus the car was towed back to the shop for detail disassembly and inspection.

It was discovered that the cylinder wall thickness between two sleeves observed of cracks in three location that water cooling is leaking to the oiling system. The shop investegated and the following cases came at the same time that made the block to crack:

1.The tunning was not that best, where the tunning was found it is a copy of SD from another car and not optimized with the new combination I have. The engine expirenced hard knocking.

2.The engine block is LS1, where the bore was overbored to install new sleeves to acomodate piston size of 4.0845" bore. The recommended interference fit shall be 0.002" per the recommended sleeve (Aluminum to Iron), but the shop made the interference fit of 0.006".

3.The overboring of the block wasn't made at each of the cylinder center point (found offset of almost 3mm).

The block is crap now

Very sorry to hear this misfortune. Could you just purchase a LS3 block new
and have it honed from 4.065" to your 4.085 pistons ??

The LS3 block here around is very expensive (used cost around USA 1800 $).

I found couple of 6.0 iron block, but they have problem with axial floating clearances.

What comes out of the junkyard is totally junk. Sometimes you get lucky if the car is hit from the rear, then the engine is ok.
