Default Trickflow 225 head install

ive been on the edge on what head to buy for my ls2 and i finally took the leap, decided to go with the trickflow 225. car previously made 463/434 with a set of ported/shaved 317's, 230/238 eps cam, fast 102. im starting to pull the heads off and then i wait for my new heads.

intake ready to be sent for port matching

ill be pulling the 317's in the morning.

You'll be very happy with that choice. Can't really go wrong with TFS heads. Are you going to shave/paint the intake?

looks like i was alittle over on duration on my intake lobe.. i can barely catch it with my finger nail so ill just run it, no sharp edges to cause bad heat spots. Anyway.. the heads are off and i await the arrival of my trickflows.

no i did not.. i had a reputable cam specialist spec me this camshaft so i figured i was fine. No harm done tho, heads are fine as with everything else.

so then since i post in the ltx/lsx forum on tgo and i post on ls1tech then i guess TPI Terror, Outlaw drifter/STREETDEMON, BlueZee28, Mw66nova, RPD Vette84/INTIMIDATOR Z, Xpndbl3 and Grifter all should be banned from all forums since we ALL post most of our stuff on both... shame on us.

oh you can bet i will, they cost'd me an arm and my first born. i ordered the heads from a member on here and he will be purchasing them from trickflow and milling them to my spec's and port matching my intake, so it will be a week or two before i actually get my hands on them.

Lol just saw the reply. Not everyone is on Tgo any more . This site is highly convenient/ very recommended and far more advanced

Back to topic those heads should be a nice improvement.

But back to the heads, I hope to make over 500hp or atleast be close. but going from 463 to 500 seems alot. The 463 was without an u/d pulley so just say going from 471 to 500 is 29rwhp...

This will be an interesting outcome ... I am wanting to see the rwt change with the FAST 102. Most of the installs I have read about had not had significant torque increases. I would like to go to a larger head, but my TFS CNC 215's flow 266.1/321.8 cfm's at 0.600 ... that's pretty good for a 215 and thought about a FAST 102. I hate to lose my torque!

Are you running a stock cube 6.0?
