Default trick flow stage 3 cam?

I just bought a trick flow stage 3 cam for my 98a4. This is goin to be my first ls1 camaro build and i wanted to know if any one has used this cam yet without the trick flow heads. I will be installing the cam along with ls6 243s. I have already istalled 1 3/4" LTs and o/f y-pipe. Any results or advise on this type of setup?

Will be a great street cam. Depending on the lobes, It will probably perform similar to the TSP 228R. Cam will run great with the ls6 heads. I was expecting some huge duration and lift. The cam is fairly mild.

the trick flow cams are not that bad, a few guys i know use them and honest they have made some great numbers, most people will hate on trickflow just because not many use there cams so people think they are junk for that reason,i think you will love that cam with a good set of heads

I'm running 243s, ls6 intake, 224/230 .58x 114 cam, exhaust, gears etc. and im knocking down low 12s all day without a stall...so time wise that puts me around 400 rwhp...you will def enjoy thats for sure...thats a nice cam, not too big, but not too small either

That cam runs bud. It is very similar to a Crane #1449601, and I have gone 10.90s with that profile in a 346 with 243s and a FAST 78 intake in a A4 car. That cam will want around 11:1 scr, 3:73+ gears and atleast a 3600 stall for BEST results.

I have the same exact cam in my setup: made 390/390 cam + bolt ons only and 440/408 with heads, ported FAST 92, full bolts ons, etc.

As stated above, it's relatively mild and makes good power throughout the band. Great street manners. In my opinion, its the perfect "middle-of-the-road" cam.....good compromise between performance and driveability.

You should be pleased with your selection. I've always liked my setup. That being said, if I had it all over to do again, I'd probably get Pat G to custom spec a cam that matches up with all of my current mods.

I think i will be happy with the performance of this cam based on what i have heard so far and i do plan on getting 3.73 gears. Thanks for the info so far and any other suggestions related to performance that would help out an ls1 newbie would be great.
