Default engine bearings

do new bearings look like this? cause these look used to me. these came from the engine shop that did my machine work and are supposed to be new high performance bearings...

Yes, the last set of clevites I used did look like that.

weird, ive never seen new bearings colored like this. thanks! guess its time to assemble!

Make sure ALL the bearings have the correct part number markings on them, and that oil clearances are checked/verified per target spec engine calls for.

ill take a look at them all and make sure the numbers match before i start thanks! i still have to go through my pre-assembly, but all clearences will be checked then checked again before final assembly for sure!

Those would be "h" series wild. The box even shows that.

I guess I should of looked at box lol. But they look like a super high quality bearing for sure!

Maybe in the future You buy You're engine parts per what You're builder tells You ,,,,,,,,,,,,they sure do appear to have products of combustion stains on them but if guys on here say they're new then I guess they're new .

If you have the special bearing dial calipers you could verify thickness

You can measure thickness with a dial caliper that has resolution to .001" accurately . Just make sure You use the thin part of the caliper, not closer to the dial where it's thicker to measure with .
