then you have another 2k to pick up some L92 heads, L76 intake and some ARP head bolts for just about another 2k. also with this combo it uses an LS1 style block Gen III so you can use all your old sensors and covers (ie valley cover, knock sensors, oil pan, valve covers, etc)
i have been thinking 408 for a while now, and this is the way i will be going with the block, but for heads i will be going with small port LS3 heads from TSP. they have a 250cc intake port vs the stock 265cc (i believe) port on the LS3 head, but with LS3 designed intake runners, and exhaust ports. they also dominate the LS3 heads right out of the box.
here is the link for the heads i am gonna get:

I'm one of those that's doing it and if i could find someone to trade me their 370 motor, I'd swap right now.
For MY setup, it's wrong. The bore/stroke combo is wrong for what i'm trying to do. That being said, with a 88mm where sheer volume of air makes up for a slightly "wrong" motor package, making power was EASY. We saw 1000rwhp all day with no problems on a old school Garrett 88mm turbo. But, in a restricted power adder class, the 370 would be a better bet for me.
Want to trade me a 370?!
