Default LY5 AFM Delete

Starting my 5.3 soon, Tax Refund Check
So I found a nice looking, Low Mile, Cheap LY5 from an 07 Avalanche
Should be right around 315/335 Stock so thats more than enough to start with for my little Blazer lol

My question is, since it is an 07 it has AFM, whats the fastest and cheapest way to delete AFM? Any sponsors here sell a kit?

I plan on running a 224/228 Cam (nice choppy Idle) so I will end up needing more than the .500 lift that AFM allows for

Thanks, Dan

If you run your stock computer from your 5.3 that should take care of it

Im getting the motor complete with its original PCM which is set up for AFM, What ive learned about AFM (DOD) is that there is hardware that needs to be replaced for it to fully go away without leaving problems (Oil Pressure Problems) at least that is what previous threads I dug up on here have led me to believe

Oh ok. I thought ot was all in the computer programing. You might try contacting a tuner....they "should" know what else needs changed besides the program in the computer

well you can have it tuned out but the hardware restrictions (no cam with more than .500 lift) will still exist unless you swap out some stuff. Which is why im looking for a good kit that includes all of that lol

I wss reading on another site.

The FAST LSXRT intake is worth 20rwhp over your intake, its a simple swap. An exhaust system (Headers/catback) are worth another 20hp or so. Comp Cams has some AFM specific cams avaliable that will drop right in, or you can change the valley pan, lifters, and trays to delete AFM and that will allow you to run over.500lift
