Use the force
Seriously, I used one of those little flexible "claw" things to hold the bolt while I started it with a wrench. I'm surprised I don't hear more people complain about this...it was a real PITA to get started

I used a piece of rigid wire wrapped tightly around the very top of the bolt where it is not threaded. It took no more than 5 minutes to get teh bolt started this way... Good luck, and don't get frustrated, at least you know about the rear oil pan bolts.... I snapped one!

Any tips for reinstalling the oil pick up tube bolt?
Anybody have any tips or niffty ideas on how to reinstall the oil pick-up tube to the oil pump and put that oh-so tiny bolt back in? I've already removed all but the last two oil pan bolts, and it did drop about 1/2", but I still don't have enough room to get a hand or a wrench in there while trying to start the bolt. Has anyone done something special to make this task easier? Please let me know..... This is the only thing keeping me from finishing my cam install.
