Your build pretty much matches what I'm up to. So far I'm still in the parts accumulation stage for my CTS-V

LS6 block
Diamond -8.6cc pistons
Compstar rods
LS9 head gaskets
Stock heads cleaned up, patriot gold springs
LS6 cam
ARP studs
On3 76mm .96 turbo going in the rear, probably pushing 15-18lbs when I'm done.

I'm also looking for what people have made on similar setups.

im curious to see what steam vent setups people are using, or if they are even using them. i plan on running one, and adding ls6 valley covers just for insurance, and to keep the temps down on those pesky ringlands. its very interesting after you have read about it some.

I thought with forged slugs the ringland issue was mostly solved? I also understand a little insurance goes a long way.

well, so far i have bought everything for the bottom end, including the junkyard 5.3. pistons and rods, heads, everything i bought came from this forums classifieds lol minus the camshaft and intake and a few odd n ends.

My shortblock cost me:
5.3 engine-500$
wiseco forged Pistons-350$
oliver billet steel rods- 450$ (one rod was .10 out of round, it got to hot, had to get a replacement rod)
Replacement rod^^ 150$

take that right there, 1450$, i dont think thats too bad really, for a tough *** bottom end!

So far, ive spent 5800$ over the course of one year, which isnt bad i dont think! Including 90% of my engine parts, and transmission stuff, and actual vehicle parts.

Shortblock
'98 block cylinder and line honed
Stock main bolts
Stock crank out of a 2002 LS1 (spun the crap out of mine)
Diamond -9.6cc pistons
Scat I-Beam rods with ARP 2000 bolts
Clevite main and rod bearings
Total seal rings
LS7 lifters
Melling oil pump
LS2 timing chain

Valvetrain
PAC springs
TSP hardened pushrods
241 heads
COMP trunion upgrade
PCV system delete (running 2 lines from covers to catch can, and a check valved line from can to exhaust for vacuum)
Stock GM MLS head gaskets

Turbo is going on right now. Broke the motor in for about 1600 miles this past summer and it is running well. The drop in compression hurt the power a little bit, but 12 PSI should make up for that

See sig for 347 specs and pics. I'm adding meth injection and a 3.4" blower pully this winter, hoping to finally break the 600rwhp mark up here where planes fly.

None here yet, getting close to running though, I'm just gonna put mine on 20psi and let it eat till its had enough, I think reaching 700+ won't be a problem, I'll do whatever is necessary to get into the 9's, hell a 9.99 is good for me hah

Haha. I'm just worried once I get it on the dyno it will disappointed. Shop told me they will only use methanol/water injection as a cooler (idk of that's going to affect my goal) and right now 50/50 on a set of 317 heads I have or buying Prc 225cc heads..
Come on guys get in here and give some numbers. Hp/psi/et... any and all
