It looks like you can damn near purchase it built for that type of money.

If you can do the assembly work yourself and have a good machine shop available then your budget should work fine.

You might want to contact a few of the vendors and get some quotes.
Good luck

AES 390 is designed for boost - great choice. #2 would be a 370.

For 15 psi, I would look to aftermarket with thicker deck - you are at the ragged edge of stock style heads and any tune issues could get you in trouble. I'd say go L92 or LS3 over ported 317's if you can back down on boost desires - LS3 intakes are pretty cheap as well and flow better than most.

For 15 psi, better option would be the the F1A Procharger if you can stand the noise. Not a lot more to buy and will be better suited for higher hp application. You will need FMIC and should consider Aster mount to avoid belt slip problems.

Long block engine can probably be completed for the $6500 range with a GM casting for head. AFR, TFS or MAST heads build will raise price. Balance of your existing mods will match boosted engine pretty well.

A guy on here sells take off heads as he gets them. I would look into a set of lsa heads. They are designed for boost.

I'm no expert, but wouldn't you need forged internals for that kind of boost?

At the very least, forged rods and pistons.

Not on a stock short block you won't, at least not for very long.

as long as it's forged it should be ok . . . be better if it was closer to 9.5 so you can turn that boost up
