Default broke 4 pistons on the dyno can i just put in new rods and pistons?

was on the dyno last week to turn up the boost and started getting blow by after a few pulls at 14 psi, car was ran all year on 11 with no problems, we tore the heads and pan off and pulled the pistons and 4 of them had broken second and third ring lands, the plan is to put a set of mahle forged stock bore pistons and eagle rods in it and button it back up, the question is will there be a major balance problem, it seems these are internally balanced. has any one else just put rods and pistons in and not had to take the rotating assembly to a machine shop for balance? i dont want to pull the motor if i dont have to. also would or is a fluid dampener a good idea in my case.

How did you get all that off with the engine still in there??? Damn man, that was a job. Listen, just pull it and do it right, you'll thank yourself later. IMHO engine balancing keeps harmonics in check and that in turn helps bearings last longer,IE the engine will last longer unless that dosent matter... There is no replacement for doing it right the first time.

You have to have it balanced...period.

I took my short block to a "reputable" builder and told him to balance the rotating assembley to my new mahle pistons...well he didn't. After 1k miles I had very low oil pressure and upon tear down, I found every rod and main bearing completely beat to hell.

Do not put that engine back together without balancing. I promise, it will be worth it

Do it right. Machine work for a stock block, stock cylinder size and balance the rotating assembly will not be to expensive and completely worth it.
