Default Bad bucking

I put in eps 226/234 113 and I'm getting some nasty bucking at 1k-1. 5k rpm. The shop I got a tune at says that all cams will buck around that rpm. True/false?

The short answer is false, but the cause could be either mechanical (e.g. vacuum leak) or the tune.

The tune was by a reputable shop so what's a procedure to find a vacuum leak?

FALSE AS ****

i have a COMP XE-R 236 238 .601 .605 112+4 LSA

i had some bad bucking from 1k to the 1.5k RPMs also
i took it back to my tuner and he fixed it i still have a little bit of bucking but nothing like i had before ..

so i would ask to look at the tune again .. they should try to get it right for you

Def tune, reputable or not sometimes it takes a little to tune the driveability of a cam.

your cam should not have much buck in it at all i have a bigger cam then that and the only time mine will buck is it u try to let it idle going through a parking lot anything above an idle and my car will not buck i would say your problem is in the tune because my car use to do what you are descibing when it was about halfway tuned with a good tune it should drive near stock or at least mine does but i have countless hours in getting my tune perfect

It is tune related - no more, no less....

They'll need to look at fuelling, timing, throttle cracker / follower, etc to get it correct.
