Default Springs?

Ok..Heres the delima.

Im getting ready to install a EPS 226 230 cam. Gonna be runing the stock 241 heads for now untill im ready to buy heads. I have 2 sets of springs.

I have patriot performance Daul springs with titanium retainers.
I have PSI 1511ML Beehives...No retainers. If i cant run stock ones ill have to buy some for them.

Which set of springs would you guys run untill im ready to buy heads later on?I already have the springs so these are my choices. Lift on the cam is .598 .600 . This is a 6 speed and is a car that gets driven alot.Mite see the track 2 or 3 times a year for a pass or 2. Opinions?

No the beehives are new. The dauls have very little run time. Around 5 miles.

What retainers can I run with the psi 1511 springs?

I've been running patriot golds with about the same lift as your cam without any problems!

Either will work. I think the PSI max lifes may live a little longer, because of the conditioning of the spring. I have heard this from a couple reputable engine builders that insist on the PSI springs. They are designed to use your stock retainer, so thats what I'd do. If you had a more lift you may be forced into the dual springs, the PSI1511 is only rated to 0.625" lift. It's sort of like asking peanut butter, or jelly, Ford or Chevy etc. You can get a plethora of opinions on this one, and I don't believe there is a right or wrong answer.

That sounds good. I really wanted to use the 1511 springs but really just wanted to make sure I wasent making a mistake in doin so. I may buy the retainers for them. Looks like another 250 or so should get them. Look like these will work for a while till I'm ready for some heads.
