I'm not a mechanic but I believe new valve springs are mandatory.
I'm sure someone will chime in with a cam and spring combo for you.

Any cam bigger than stock will require you to use new springs.

You need springs and pushrods with any cam.

I would also change the fuel injectors, timing chain and oil pump. And do the trunion upgrade to the rockers while your in there. But Bigger isn't always better.

I haven't come across a person yet who will say that you should keep your stock springs with a new cam. I just posted this on a different thread but it might help you out:

I am putting a new cam in a rebuild right now and I found I have found 2 budget friendly options, one from Lunati and one from Trick Flow. Both are Pacaloy beehives (I'm pretty sure they are the same spring) and I can get either for $129. I know there are better springs out there but these are recommended with the 2 cams that I am trying to decide between and I can still reuse my stock retainers.

Valve springs are the only MANDATORY item. I'm running stock pushrods on my Patriot cam, over 20k miles on cam, 110k miles on motor. No issues.

you will also need a high rpm converter and a good tuner.I would also install comp trunnion bearings if you use the stock rockers.stock push rods and stock springs only work with stock gm cams.consider a gm ASA cam.

I'm with you I have been running a .650 lift cam for 3 years over 25k miles stock everything. Push rods and springs are a scam to inflate the cost of a "cam swap". There is a reason they call it a cam swap!!
