Well I'm sure it's very similar, just goes to show how well it works. I'm more than pleased with it. It has tq everywhere and pulls hard to 6,800. Hats off to you sir. If it were a perfect world I would have liked the cam to be a 230/232. Who's knows how much it would change things, but I feel like it would be the perfect cam for a street/strip car. And I equate the tq a result of the compression increase. The car feels torquier right of the get go, which is weird when adding a cam, you expect to lose some.

Thank you, as I said, it must have similar valve events. my original is on XFI intake and XER exhaust.
I run a variation of it (see sig) mine got cut at 232/228 .612, .588 110-1 LSA
The original El Torro is 232/230 .612, .592 111+2 LSA

I didnt know the original El Toro was a reverse split? Thats really cool. Predator how does your setup perform? What heads did you use and what kind of number did you make?

Advertised specs are 230/230, but once it is cut it will come out as 232/230. XFI intake lobe most of the times cuts at 2* bigger than advertised.
472rwhp/426rwtq, pretty similar power curve than in above graph. Pulls to 6800+ but I shift at 6600. Too much trq down low, it is a tire frier for sure. No need to clutch dump at 5K rpm to have eyepopping acceleration.
The heads I used are Cartek 243 4X milled to 59cc.

nice results...i had a set of the livernois stage 3's a while back but didnt run them cuz i had them milled to 59cc's and decided i didnt want to flycut. Before selling them i flowbenched them against some other heads and made a thread about it on here, they actually flowed what they claimed which was good considering i flowed a very popular competitors set of ported 5.3's which were supposed to flow over 310 cfm and they flowed about 20 cfm less then what they claimed. I may pick up another set in the future because from the results i have seen they are great heads for the price.

it was a 230/234 cam..dont know if i would of had to flycut for sure but im pretty sure i would have since they were milled to 59cc's. They were good heads though like i said flowed what they claimed and actually slightly outflowed the afr 205's i ended up putting on the car.

I did not flycut. The guy I bought them from on vette forum says they were cut .030 and I resurfaced and he took .004. So roughly .034 I what I know... This put me right around 59-60cc. He ran a tsp tv2 with them and he measured and said it was tight but ok. My cam is smaller with 1* less OL. So I said to hell with it. Lol kind of irresponsible but it worked...
