Scat I beam rods
thinking of upgrading from stock floating pin rods to these.. any reviews on these rods?

they come with the 7/16 rod bolts and look really nice and from what i have read are lighter than my current ls2 rods, thanks

Scat makes nice stuff. I've always had good luck with quality and consistency
with sizing. I've used plenty of their cranks and rods in gen I stuff for street
and circle track engines. You'll obviously need to change pistons since those
rods have the old .927" pin bore and are slightly longer (6.098" vs 6.125")

this is the reason for the lowerend do over.....
head is at T.E.A currently getting fixed.. made 468 with heavy tires on it and the 230/238 camshaft... the next time it hits the dyno it will be an automatic and the numbers will be unlocked converter and the new camshaft will be this
so im hoping to make 440+ unlocked which would be killer and somewhere in the 490-500 range if it was a 6 speed still.

I use them, with autotec pistons@ close to 725rwhp and 6800rpm shifts in my 365". They are often overlooked, but they are light and strong. Paired with the light pistons, it's a quick revving setup. Plan on turning up the power to around 800 or so rwhp here in a few weeks.
