I like my Yank SS 3600 a lot. It's an excellent daily driver capable converter. If the car is more toy, I would kick it up more than that.

I've been in a 4th gen with a Vigilante 4000 and it was a bit much but I've heard that brand is a little looser down low than the Yanks, good for the track but more cumbersome for driving around town.

Circle D converters are also getting a large following here but I do not have personal experience with them.

Go with the yank ss3600, it drives about stock until you put your foot into it.

You will regret it with 3200 imo. After doing this stall I wanted to punch myself in the face for ever considering a 3200 and maybe not going 4000

My 3600 drives very tame. It's easy to keep up with most traffic from light to light without going much over 2k rpm and often less. It seems very progressive and linear in slip up to about 35-40% throttle where it will start working the full 3600rpm. And that's in a car with a street weight of 3800#.

Blue,

Be glad to help you select a converter. If you can fill out our Ask Chris form, link in sig, I will get back to you with a recommendation. You can also call me at the shop. Also noticed you are in Odessa, we are in Houston. Just on the other side of the state....lol

Another 3600 vote here. Do it and don't look back.

I have put about 1,100 miles on my EDGE 3,600 and couldn't be more pleased. Once warmed up it drives exactly like a stock one with normal, around town driving. There is no extra revving leaving a light at light throttle. It is only obvious going up a steep hill or upon heavier acceleration. Easing the pedal down to about 30% causes some slippage but anything more and it grabs and plants you in the seat. You might want to check out their sight.
