Al Weiss up in Witchita Falls. Expensive, but if his work is good enough for Eddie Hill, it's good enough for me. Hell of a nice guy, too.

We will be doing our engines in Houston but we have a shop in Dallas too that used to be MMT. I do the engines here and all the fastest LSx stuff so far has come from us or SAM where I will be working till we're 100 per cent open. I know little about the other guys but I can answer any question you throw me and I do the engine building myself so I know what it takes to do what you want from 9s NA to regular fast street cars with the LSx. The dallas area is about to see some truly fast LSx stuff come out.

Watt built my motor.

He did all the MMT motors for the last 2 years.

Now that MMT has become HPE, HPE's machine shop in Houston is going to do all their motors.

I'd lean towards MMT / HPE myself. I trust Sean in his LS1 skills. Now with HPE taking over the shop and building quality motors for the whole company, it should really be a winning combo. Having that shop in Royce City so close to Commerce will be a huge benefit too.

Watt's shop is in Royce City. He is a perfectionist about his engines. He has lot's of experience with LS1s too. He made a believer out of me.

The quality of the work coming out of the new HPE/MMT shop will be substantially better than what has been coming out of there the last couple years.. Which for the LS1 world in general, has been good. But there will be no comparison... Our proof will be in the pudding once you guys see our shop car lineup this year HPE will be setting the new n/a record for sure within a month or so. As well as more to come that are currently in the making.... HPE does not plan to contend for the Texas LS1 market. We plan to take over the LS1 world!

Best Regards,
Chuck

So send me a quote and time frame to build a road racing short block, turn key.

Moderate lift cam will be used, thinking in the 224/.560/112 range.
I have Patriot S2 heads milled 0.020 and looking for compression to be around 11.1

The motor needs to live at 5K-6K all day long in August heat. I have the radiator and oil cooler for the job.

Checking over >>>>>>>

You can't swing a dead cat in the state of Texas without hitting a good LS1 engine builder. It's just not possible.

Your very lucky you've got a lots of excellent shops to choose from unlike really anywhere else in the country.
