I attribute it to a "shelf" cam designed by that vendor that has proven itself, and he suggests it to his customer. Cams have been around for 100 years or more, nobody is re-inventing the wheel. This!!

I think im gonna get a 218/365 1000/1000 on a 180 lsa cam spec for me and see how it goes.. lol

OP, why not just go with the vindicator cam? Since your car isnt a DD and you have already driven a TREX.

Well I was mainly looking for info on the two cams in the original post as stated several times already...since I have not had experience with either of them. But for some reason all you ******* morons want to do is bad mouth what you think is my choice in cams. I didn't ask for a recommendation...only information on the cams in question.

Vindicator is still too big in my opinion for stock cubes. If you guys paid attention to what's been posted, I stated already that I had a trex and it was too big for stock cubes. IMO anything larger than a RAPTR or G5X3 is too big for stock cubes unless you want a track only cam.

I was on the same boat wanted thunder racing stroker cam I think specs are 247/251 but I had Pat spec me a cam and gave me a 243/247 decided to go with what the expert recommended shelf cams are max effort cams for a wide range of different setups so you can go smaller but it will perform better

some cams like the EPS cams have more intense lobes then others for a faster lifting rate.

I would go with the custom grind. The shelf grind and custom are similar in numbers, but with the information you provided to Futral, you got back a "custom" grind that the expert : I don't think any one would argue that: says will function better for you and your car.
They appear to be similar but there must be a reason Allen recomended the slightly smaller camshaft for you. I would think the custom ground cam would out perform the shelf grind or he wouldn't have recomended it.
I still have not ordered my custom grind from Futral, and I will some day, but it's close to an advertised cam they have sold for awhile. I also emailed them about one of the shelf cams but they recomended a custom ground cam to fit my application so that's what I'll get.
I don't know if any one could tell you the difference in performance between the two except Allen Futral

You probably have a cam by now, but have you seen the tsunami cam from tsp. Could be wrong, but that looks like a good choice.
