Easier said than done. I need green.

I am about to price out what the difference would be between going with h/c, and then just cam and necessary valvetrain equipment.

$2,239 - Patriot Performance Stage II LS6/LQ9 Cylinder Heads with 59cc Combustion Chamber, TSP 231/237 or TSP 231/231 Camshaft, Hardened Pushrods, Heads & Cam GM Bolt & Gasket Kit.

$720 - Texas Speed 231/237 Camshaft, Crane Double Valve Springs, Titanium Retainers, Hardened Spring Seats, GM Valve Seals, Texas Speed & Performance Hardened Pushrods.

$1519 difference in price.

How many horses could I gain from a set of heads with this cam? I still need the LS6 intake as well.

But shipping should relieve you of tax.
I am telling you, if you can get the heads. Not sure about power difference numerically, but pull wise, I am sure it will be worth it. Or do like me and others, do the cam, fall in love with the pull factor, then get the $$$ for the heads and fall in love all over again.

Well, this cam does like the spray. Maybe the 231/237 and a 100 shot on stock heads. What sucks is I want to do everything at once so that I only have to pay for tuning once. If I go with heads later on, I still have to pay for tuning a second time since I don't own LS1 edit.

talk to the tuner, some offer xx months of upgrade retunes, or they may. Tuning for adding heads aint bad at all. more or less a little WOT adjustment, maybe timing, but the cam will take more time to tune, so they may work with you. Ask Trevor or Jason @ TSP, they might have some deal for you as well. If TSP is not tuning it, make sure they know about adjusting the min & max MAP values, add 10 to each or you might get repeated p0130 or something, made the trans act up and SES lightup.

Of course it does. That's the only reason I can think of on a LS1/LS6 to crutch the exhaust that far. That is a lot of duration on the exhaust side.

as far as the LM and ORY, i think it is too loud, thats why i will be muffling mine soon, no track numbers yet, but im around 400 at the wheels with a tune from mikey at rapid

Oh by the way I still have a totally stock bottom end. The 231/237 is about the largest you'd want to do without piston work.
hmm why?

z98, because at the lift vs duration you are getting close to the pistons. So far the most milling I have heard of is .006" of a set of heads w/ 231/237 cam. I myself have a set of .022" milled and wont put them on cause I know there will be contact. Open up the bottom, fly cut the pistons and you have much more to play with.

I wonder if having that cam (TSP231/237) with FLP LT Headers (with cats) would pass the emmisions (meaning that OBDII test) if the car is properly tuned, and all the error codes are erased ?

Default its fine.i love mine

i had my 231/237 cam in for about a month and love it. It makes great power. if you throw in some 3.73 at least and a stall if you got a a4..and some good tunning...that cam kicks ***...it pulls like a ****...i had a tr244...it was nice and yea it had more torqe in the low end....but i was spinning to damn much....with this 231/237 its nice...i use my car as a daily driver...i drive about 20 miles back and forth each way to work..so about 40miles a day to work and also 15 miles to school there and back....5 days a week.had no probs so far and runs great...i kill everyone so far...they may think they got me on the take off...but i love it when i hit about 4000 rpms...its like hitting a button..
