Default Fixable?

Well ive been thinking about upgrading my ls1 to a lq4. I want to bore it out and make it a 408. Forged pistons and all the good stuff! I do not know much about internal engines so i think this would be a great way to learn. I found this block and am curious to see if its a good starting point as it already is a short block and i can bore it out and build it how i want.

Although not a horrible price you can get them cheaper, a member was selling one on here alittle bit ago or $550 but it was brand new. Depending on your area find a complete one for cheap

It's not that bad of a price, and will work good for what you want. I went 408 and love it!

What part of PA are you in? I'm just out of Chambersburg Pa

If you plan on boring it that should all get cut out with no problem.

I'm originally from Hagerstown MD

It's not bad....taxes are half of what I was paying in MD lol

Look at the bearing races to see if you find signs of a spun bearing and look good for cracks....think that's about it
