Before you sell the setup short I would take and run the car in the 1/4. That will be the true results and you will get a good idea on the power it's making. Like I said before I made 420 on a Dynojet but run low 10's@130+. However, I have seen hundreds of cars make more power than me and run 15MPH slower in the 1/4.

brand new or not some thing is not right push rods could be wrong. valve springs may be weak. what springs do you have? and so on..... but forsure a valve train problem.

well car is back at the shop, been very busy with work so I haevnt had a chance to get back to my project. Tsp 100maf / fast toys lid, yella terra ultra lite roller rockers to try and take care of that float at the top. Also getting some 1 7\8 ARH LTs, custom Y with LG merge and a 4" QTP cut out. Hopefully have new dyno numbers soon....

Agreed! Dynos lie. Take it to the track. My car put down 380 and i have out run many 400rwhp cars.

Car is still in the shop, I came across a REALLY good deal on kooks true dual system which had less than 100miles on it so I opted for that in stead of my ARH LT's and custom Y pipe. Had the shop recheck all the valvetrain since I was having them put on the new roller rockers. Turns out that my pushrods were the wrong size (too short I believe) Ill find out mroe details later this evening. MAF is installed, also going to have some polly MM and Trans mount put in since the old exhaust is coming out. Makes life alot easier there. Cant wait to compare the numbers once back on the dyno!

What does your car weigh, like 2000 pounds? Even if that was a low reading dyno 130+ is a stupid trap speed. Like said after you, something is wrong that the car is falling on its face up top. Has nothing to do with a low reading dyno.

Did that shop originally just toss in a set of pushrods without checking the pushrod length the first time when installing the heads, etc? If that's the case, that is not exceptable from an experienced shop. Checking pushrod length is very simple and does not take much time at all. This is one thing an experienced shop should never make a mistake on.

Good luck!

That's what I was wondering. How do you have a "pro" shop set up a car with valve train problems. Stupid old me had no problems setting up mine. At 10.25 you sure are on the low side. Must have pretty large chambers.

Just got off the phone. Pushrods were to short. They first put 7.450's in there......now they just put in 7.525's. Also was told all other valvetrain parts were not damaged. PRC 227s with TSP Tsunami, seems like a big jump in PR size. Should get some good flow numbers now....

Did they give any reasons for their **** up? Not that there's a good excuse..but still..that's HUGE jump in pr length. I would still keep an eye on your valvetrain..they didn't even take the time to check pr length on the initial install so how thorough were they when they were inspecting the parts that had "no damage?"
