Angry Can I use 2002 Cylinder Head Gaskets?

I've got a '98 block with 806 heads milled .030. A sponsor said I could use the 2002's, but the installer them says it's gonna leak water.

What's the scoop? On which setups will they not work?

Why not just use the '97-'00 graphite gasket?

The sponsor said the new gasket was easier to remove and sealed just as well.

I found the information I was looking for, and it's not compatible. We found out while the engine was still on the stand, but after the heads were torqued down.

I'm waiting to hear back from the sponsor to see if they can assist, since they told me it was compatible with my 98 heads.

If the heads have a notch in the deck surface you have to use the graphite gaskets or it will leak coolant.

So if I have 241's that don't have that notch I can use the metal gaskets and they will work just as good as the graphite? I have both gaskets and am in process of cleaning the old gasket off its a PITA with an aluminum block!!!
