I am running the TR 224/224 112... if I were to do it again I would have gone bigger. It is in my daily driver, will need tuning for sure. Take a look at the TR 230 cam. Good luck

I think I am gonna end up going bigger. I wan't as much as I can for now. And I don't want to regret it down the road and have to get another one. I am also gonna talk to some of the sponsers and see what they say would be best for my car. Thanks for all of the responses guys. It helps a lot. Who knows I am not getting the cam until the end of the year so they will probably come out with a few more and <230 will probably be the norm by then. LOL

230/230 .573" 111lsa with +4 ground into the cam on stock heads here. it is a handfull, and not for the old lady going to the store, but it is a lot of fun and sounds great. tuning is super necessary!

I ran a TR224 last year, tuned myself , idle was great ... i got the sucker to where it'd hold an idle at 700rpm just fine.

I'm running a 232/240 593/603 112 cam now ... but it's also a 382 stroker...

400rwhp on an A4 cam only may be a lil difficult though...

when i had a bolton auto...i had a 224/230 .510 116+8 with a 2800 stall and 3.73s in a 10 bolt. on STOCK tuning (street tune for codes...no dyno tune) it made 375/393. ran 11.92 @ 116 on stock heads.

so 400rwhp is def possible. dont let most people tell you its out of reach.

Comp custom grind N2O cam 224/228 .598/.602 114

Would not idle without tune and drilling the TB (ran fine with my foot holding the idle)

Damn this thing loves the hose. a 50 shot translated to 60 at the wheels I am almost scared to hit it with the 135 shot I used to run all the time on it.

More Performance did installation plus dual springs, injectors, etc...

Sound clip in sig

I am so torn. I want to get 400rwhp with cam only setup, and plan on getting the following.
Cam (want a rice-scaring lope)
Hooker headers w/ORY
Cutout
TCI SSF 3500
Trans-go(came in the mail today)
PP TB
ASP UDP
n/a
No NOS
238/242 .605/.610
112+4
Tuned, set to idle at 900

i'm not good at describing sounds, wish i had a digital video camera

If you are wanting that big of a cam, I think you should look into a bigger stall converter, JMO. Also, what gears do you have right now? Also, as stated, if wouldnt worry about dyno numbers, they are not everything, especially in an A4 car

Then wouldn't a smaller cam that makes a better range of TQ be a better choice?

Sent you a PM.
I looked at that cam. Looks nice.
How does it run at idle. Surge? Lope? Did you drill the TB?

its more of a combo thing really i mean most people with larger cams make equal amounts of tq over 3000rpms which when your actually trying to go fast is where youll be...i dunno about the rest of the people here but i know with my stall most of my driving period is over 2500rpms so anything under that is a nill point.

the idle is great, tuning a must with A4. We did drill the TB but man my car runs good. I`ve run many a modded 6sp from a roll and had no problems. Granted this cam likes a higher stall than mine but I spray and don`t want to pop the Rev. I will send you my Dyno sheet! Thanks!

BeardWs6: Your combo looks almost EXACTLY Like mine....I think I might have gone w/a more aggressive tune...plus I had S2+ heads from MTI w/the X1....my rwhp was 440 rwtq 402......then on the dope it was insane...My best 1/8th was a 6.77....but that was with ET Drags and a 3500lb raceweight. ahhh....u had a 12 bolt....that's at least 10hp....put u up around 425 w/the 10bolt....

Nice set up....and thru the Corsa...OMG did it sound sweet...bet urs does too...
