Pushrod Length Question
I set the pushrod length checker to zero-lash on the base circle of the cam. The length of the checker is 7.2640 using digital calipers.
7.2640 + .060 = 7.324
Therefore I should be getting a set of 7.325 pushrods.
Is this correct? They are stock ls1 lifters and assuming preload to be .050 to .080 with .060 as ideal.
I tried running it with 7.4 pushrods, (told to do so by a shop) and it sounded terrible, as if the lifters were bottoming out.
