Arrow Cam Suggestions......

Alright guys, im looking for some suggestions on cams when it comes to my father's car....

His current setup is:

Stock bottom LS1
AFR 205's
Comp. 224/228 581/588 114
FAST 90/90
Kook's LT's
Yank SS3600
100 shot

Car makes 417rwhp on motor and 500whp on the 100 hit.....

A few weeks ago the car was making a noise, turns out it had a couple of hurt lifter's, since we were in there he decided he wanted a little bigger cam!

Im basicly looking for suggestions on a little bigger cam that would work well for his setup, car runs consistent 10.50's on the spray and traps 125-126mph depending on the air....

Any suggestions would be awesome, i have tried looking for some similar setup's with a little bigger cam but had no luck!

Thanks!

228/232 ^ That would be a nice cam. Really take advantage of the good flowing intake and heads.

He doesn't want to big of a cam trust me, I tried talking him into it!

However he is liking the Torquer 2 cam not to much bigger then his current cam, I'm just not sure how it would perform with the AFR 205's?

The LG is like G5X2
232/240 .595/.608
112/114 and IMO it would be perfect on a 114 LSA. Do a search you'll find some combos dating a while back.

The torquer 2 is a nice cam and a big steep up from what he is running now. Its still on the mild side and should be easy to drive and tune IMOP. He should pick up some good mid and top range power.

I mean just look at the numbers side by side.

Your cam Torquer 2
224/228 232/234
581/588 .595/.598
114 113or 114 (off the shelf)

I would guess 15 to 20 horse gain. But i also agree with Predator too. Your dad has a nice set of heads on there now. And on a tight LSA a 234/240 cam would not be that bad.

Predator might be on to something with the G5X2. Might lose a little low end though. I'm gonna vote on the 228/232 and have those heads shaved

Just to update we went with the TSP 233/239 cam, hoping to pick up a little more power!

Thanks everybody for the suggestions!
