Noise from timing chain area

01 ls1 167k miles past few day been hearing a clicking noise it don't sound like a spun bearing if it's a lifter it's either over pistons 1 or 2 but it sounds like it's coming from more the front of the motor like on the timing chain area

It does have stock chain in it I'm prolly gonna check rockers and pushrods first then pull the cover to check chain

Any other suggestions would be appreciated

Sounds like you are planning the right approach, only suggestion I would have is not to drive it. If the chain is in fact the issue and it breaks, you will have much bigger problems on your hands.

Yea I no..hope it's just a pushrod bent but I don't think that's the issue it almost sounds like it could be coming from the pulleyon theater pump

I listened to it today on my lunch it sounds more like power steering pump and I can fill alot of vibration from it when I put my hand on it felt valve cover and intake couldn't fill anything out of the norm but that power steering pump fills rough
