5.3 and MS3

Alright, I've searched and can't find any specific results, and I would rather ask then have my engine grenade haha. I have an MS3 cam, assuming it's MS3 237/242 .603/.609 113+0.

The motor is from a 2000 silverado, with 862 heads. My question is will this cam physically fit? I have dual valve springs already and I'll be getting some stock length chromoly pushrods. I just want to make sure I don't have to fly cut or do any head work to make it fit.

I would say most likely no fly-cutting needed but THERE'S ONLY ONE WAY TO BE CERTAIN and that is to mock-up with the correct type of clay that does'nt change shape after it's been compressed . Search on here

As long as your using a stock thickness gasket and stock cylinder head that has not been milled the cam will physically fit, but we always recommend you measure to know exactly what kind of clearance your working with. Keep in mind the MS3 camshaft is very aggressive and this becomes even more magnified in a 5.3 application.

It will work fine. Been running a ms3 5.3 setup for 2yrs now and love it. Really likes a little juice with it. Search YouTube for 78supersport for results.
