what would be a good cam for my 01 z28
#2
228/228 .588 112 LSA the perfect proven sweet spot cam, many have them including me. My TA has 2750 miles it's at the speed shop being tuned as I write this.
My set up is that cam, stage II Livernois heads, port polish TB, double roller timing chain, hardened push rods, american racing headers, high flow cats, Billy Boat exhaust, SLP Blackwing airbox + K&N Filter and a bigger fuel pump I think a 250?
2nd pull on the dyno today this car put down 406HP to the wheels that's 475hp to the crank 85' outside and the tuner is not finished he says there is more to be had when he's finished. The 2nd pull was at 5700 RPM.
475 to the crank is the same as my 2012 392/6.4 liter Jeep SRT8 is putting down and the TA is a 5.7 liter LS1. Not bad for a 228/228 .588 112 LSA...but...you need good heads to see the full potential of this cam.
Lot's of posts here and go to youtube you'll see what I'm talking about..
