Only common to dummies like me (at the time) that didn't know any better.

I did 2.5 5.3 heads, ms4 cam and 39lb (45lb@ 58psi) and that is what happened. Your going to need at least a base tune.

This is what I ended up doing to break the engine in and check for leaks. I installed the stock injectors. It will run fine, just don't try to beat on it. No wot or high rpm's.

I am a little confused, why would the aftermarket injectors be a problem?

They are only a problem until the car is tuned, running larger injectors without being tuned will equal dumping lots of fuel in the engine. Depending on mods, you would be better to baby it to the Dyno with the stock injectors in, and then swap them in the parking lot of the Dyno shop. Only other options are a mail order base tune, or trailer it to the dyno

I actually am going to trailer it to the dyno/tune but i thought it might be nice to drive it on the trailer instead of pushing it... if all i am doing is driving on to a trailer do i still need to put stock injectors back in?

If it is going to run at all with the stock injector tables in the pcm and larger injectors, your going to have major issues. If it doesn't hydro lock itself you will wash the rings down or flood the crank case...think duramax

If the tune is right, everything goes like it should, I'll say...

You didn't mention your compression ratio, but if it's about 11:1 I don't see it being a problem to hit those numbers. You have a good set of heads and a good cam.
