I have no clue what i will end up with horsepower with this set up but its a good start for now. I am planning on picking up a new t-56 magnum tranny from tremec pretty soon, i already have a buyer for my current T-56 so i figure i will upgrade a little bit

That sounds exactly like what I have been planning. I will definitely be keeping an eye on this.

well i hope to have the motor back to together this weekend, but i cannot get an appointment at place to get it tuned for about 2 or 3 weeks. I will be posting pics once parts arrive and the work begins, i already have the heads off so hopefully it won't be too bad putting it back together

Why not go 102 on the intake? I would assume you have a nice set of headers to get that air out. Should be 450ish all day.

Looks like the makings of a really good time. Let us know what you think once you get it all put together and tuned.

What kind of break in should i do with this H/C/I set up? Also will this run much at all before a tune? Should I just plan on trailering it to the tune/Dyno? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I had to make a new dyno/tune appointment because i was waiting on parts... but i am shooting for Saturday August 18th, hopefully my car does't blow on the dyno and she puts down good numbers

I see you probably already have the engine running, but one thing I would added to your list is trunion upgrades on the rockers. Otherwise everything looks to be good for a killer setup.

Don't try to start it on the stock tune. You will hydro-lock it with the larger injectors. A few warm up pulls with a low load and part throttle on the dyno to make sure everything is in check and not leaking should do it. Let it cool down a few times to heat cycle the valve springs and an oil change and let her eat.

So i shouldn't even try to start it to drive it on a trailer? (I have not started it yet) Oh crap this might suck to get it to the dyno, and with the rockers i kinda thought i should upgrade but everyone was telling me how awesome the stock LS1 rockers are.. well i guess i can do that later if i decide to

Don't even turn the key. I busted my starter just trying to pull it on the trailer. As soon as it turned over, it busted.

The ls1 rockers are great, just not the factory roller bearings. They need the upgraded trunion to be awesome.

Is this a common occurence? I just did a cam swap and also added a set of 42lb injectors, I figured it would run like crap but at least be able to run and drive to the tuner?
