Default just bought some 799 heads

got em for a steal off ebay. next will sent to AI for porting. debating on their 226 program or their new 232 program. n e suggestions?

plan on doing a ported fast 102, unless i find a 92 for a steal as well. and a custom smog friendly eps cam. along w/ LT headers.

lemme know on which head program. havnt seen much on their 232 program.

If doing a ls1 id prop stick with the 226 program... If ls3 or bigger the 232 would be good.. This is imo.

The 226cc work being only slightly larger than the as cast port, would often leave some areas in the intake port untouched by the CNC cutting tool. While this is aesthetic and does not negatively affect performance, this slightly larger version will minimize or eliminate these areas of "non-cleanup." Most applications will not be negatively affected by the slightly larger intake port, and LS2's & strokers will pick up another few HP over the standard 226cc CNC work.

That's right off the website

We have an emissions legal cam I am designing coming out soon that may be right up your alley.

I could also do something custom if you'd like, and our soon coming stage 1 "street heat" cam would probably pass smog also. Let me know if you're interested.

I must have imagined where it said most applications will not be negatively effected by the larger runner.

It's basically just for aesthetics when the head is off the engine, while a large cube engine might get a handful of extra hp from the larger runner. I don't think a stock bottom end head and cam 346 will see a difference between the two. IMO
