408 pistons?
408 pistons? I've been trying to figure out which pistons to run in my 408 that I've been building, and get a little confused when reading the piston specs.. I know my block has been bored .030 over (6.0 LQ4) now with the cyclinder bore now being at 4.030 I'd need a Piston that is roughly in the 4.005-4.010 range correct?(assuming the rings make up the rest of the gap) I just didn't want to go off and order the wrong piston set is all.. I'm not putting it together, just getting the rotating assembly ordered so I have everything on hand when it goes to the machine shop for cleaning and assembly.. but here's what I have so far:
04 LQ4 6.0 Block, bored .030
K1 4.000 stroker Crank
K1 6.125 Rods with ARP 2000 bolts.
BTW it will be a boosted motor when complete, via either a turbo setup or Procharger so Compression needs to be fairly low.
