I would personally do the torquer on a 112. If it was a manual and staying cam-only I'd do the 228 on a 111 or 112 or the torquer on a 111.

I appreciate the kind words, I just don't like to come into another members thread that already has decided on another companies camshaft and "pull the rug" out from under them so to speak. I don't think it's polite or a good way to do business.

The 228r with no split will be a little smoother from what i've exp with it. My tv2 was bucky and I just never could get it to stay smooth, no matter what fuel or timing I threww at it. It was one reason i sold the car it was in, now i'm picky so you might not even care, and being an auto would soak up some of that. Made great power though, 425rwhp and 400tq in a lq9 with just the tv2, longtubes and ls6 intake. 630hp on nitrous, that cam loved the juice for some reason

Martin can certainly help you out.

Also, look at an EPS lobed 226/234. That thing drives nice and puts out beastly numbers.

Read all of this posting and i see no track times for any of these cams...T2, 224, 228 ect, ect. Has anyone taken thes cams to the track? IMO a SS3600 would be a great middle of the road a around stall for MANY cams. So offer em up, track times and what cam and stall? I'm looking for 11.5@? Setup so i DO NOT have to install a cage. Thanks

Lots of people are running those cams. TR224 was the cam of choice 10 years ago. Then everyone went huge. Now they are coming back to smaller cams with lots of head flow. Makes more power and drives better.

Also the SS3600 or equivalent would be an excellent driver. FTI has a 3600 which is just as tight but might outrun it. CircleD has a 3500 that's not quite as tight but can still be driven no problem.

This would be a very good cam for him to go with, if he's willing to go with the higher lift, or if he want a less aggressive intake lobes then the 226/230 114+4 that Martin suggested would also work really good for his needs/wants.

I dont think "bucking" is going to be a problem with the v2 in an auto car with a stall. That would be a m6 problem. If your looking at running a stall around 3600 I dont see the v2 being a problem at all.

Unless you're in lockup in OD cruising at low speed ~ 42mph/1600rpm or so in a congested area. If you have too much overlap no amount of tuning or stall will help. M6, I agree is worse, especially at lower gears.

But the T2 doesn't have a ton of overlap. Anything below 8 degrees should drive decently. Anything below 4 will drive well.
