Need Help Picking The Right Cam!!
-Texas Speed LT's
-Texas Speed ORY
-CutoutS
-Magnaflow Catback
-Cold Air Intake
-Street Tune
-Plus a couple free mods.
This winter I want to make this thing naughty, I have a local that rips around in his ugly lime green Crustang that's worked and I want to blow his *** away lol!
I bought an ls6 intake. In the process of finding a set of 243's. and the cams I have been looking into are the POLLUTER, 228R, TORQUER V2, MS4, and more but those are the main ones.
It's my WW car. I don't want to lose a whole lot of street manners. This car might make it to the track for a couple runs but really not too interested. Also I don't want to drag *** in low rpms. Do you think the cams are too big for my purpose?
What kind of numbers am I looking at? Are the 243's a must? Or are stock heads "ok", is cam alone possible? Looking for 425+ rwhp. Anyone with simar setups please don't be afraid to chime in!! Videos are also greatly appreciated!
Also another sub topic would be supporting mods/suspension but mainly looking to get the H/C swap done. I will have to wait for more funds next year for another project. Good knowledge to have tho.
Lets get this thing rolling and on its way!

I like my torquer v2 with PRC heads. With a 6 speed it would have put down somewhere around 450 rwhp.
Just consider that automatics are easier on rear ends than sticks and that mine is now broke from flashing it off the line with m/t et streets. Not to mention that my 9 bolt is stronger than your 10 bolt.
Good luck either way.
With the donkey dick cams you'll want steep gears, heads and intake for it to run right. Street light to street light I like something torqier such as the cams listed.
Then again, you can always get a hold of PatrickG, Ed Curtis, or whoever you like for cams and tell them what you have and what your goals are.
Nothing beats an optimized system, set up to your goals and driving habits.

. I don't know about gears yet I haven't put much thought into it. As for tires I only have a little bigger than stock with 285's. (might go 315's down the road at some point)I have read that the torquer v2 is a little tricky when it comes to low range RPM, anyone else? I don't want to lose too much in that aspect. Is the torquer v3 in that same boat as the v2? I haven't looked into the street sweeper but the 228r has been talked about all over with good results. This is the first time hearing about the F13/14.
I'm looking to gain as much overall possible without losing a whole lot of low range.
SOKR915- when will you be getting it tuned??
Street Sweeper Specs: 236*-240*-111*-.631"-.610"
Street Sweeper HT Specs: 228*-232*-111*-.612"-.600"
TSP Torquer V3 Specs: 231/234 .643/598
I vote SSHT. It's been dubbed by many as a great all around cam. So has the 228R though. It's all up to you.
Either way, go with a QUALITY dual valvespring kit. BT Racing has some great kits at awesome prices.
It is a good in between from our stage 1 and our Polluter V1 or V2.
I've also got a 234/240 113+4 that would work very well also.
Our cam packages are 679.99 and that includes BTR Dual Platinum springs rated to .660" lift and Manley 5/16" diameter .080" wall push rods.
I'd be willing to bet either of those two cams will make the same power or more than any of the cams mentioned in here. I'm also a lot easier to reach than some of the guys mentioned here other than Texas Speed.
