Looking for a little help here. I am on a tight budget here as my 5.3 in my Tahoe has spun a cam bearing. I am looking at buying a 6.0 LQ4 short block and installing a XR259HR cam that I was gonna install in my 5.3. I also have some LS6 valve springs to go with it. Was gonna get a simple valve job on my 5.3 heads and install them on the LQ4 short block. I am looking more for torque than high HP. What is everyone's opinion on this. I know it's not ideal just looking for thoughts on this.

what year 5.3 heads? theyll boost compression which is good. the thing is 862 and 706 5.3 heads have smaller intake valves which is ugh
. if 799 or 243 heads which came on 08 and up trucks, then okay. otherwise, always cheaper to go with what you got.
