Question What would you pay for 99 5.3

Hey guys a guy on Craigslist has a 99 silverado he's parting out Trans died that's why he's parting it out. But the motor is a 1999 5.3 with 140k harness & computer. What would you pay for it?

Not more than $600 with harness and ECU.

$300 or so with that kind of miles.. A stock ecu and harness on ebay is less than a $150

The guy said he would go $700 firm I'm not going to over pay, we're do you guys find these deals? Every body wants $600-800 for high Mileage ls motors sometimes with no harness or computers.

I picked up two 4.8's with ecu and harness injection ect, one with 37,000 miles for $475 and one with 45,000 miles for $400 Both from a auto salvage place in North Dakota

I paid $300 for high miles (200) aluminum 5.3...miles aren't that big a deal if its clean underneath the valve covers meaning the engine was taken care of.

300 is going rate for 5.3 with higher miles. 600-850 for 6.0 mileage dependant. Have picked up long block 6.0s with high miles as cheap as 200.

i paid $380 for a complete 5.3 177k miles out of a 00 silverado out of junkyard.... but that was in nc....i can 5.3 motor for $400 all day long down here in the carolinas

I got my 05 5.3 with 89,000 intake to oil pan, ECU, Harness, fuseblock, instrument cluster, overflow bottle. AND all accessories for $400. I couldve built a damn truck with everything i got that day lol

05 5.3 i got for a $100.00 ..it had a squeaking sound it turned out 2b "3" rocker arms & push rods..

I would say $300 with those miles. They go for about $600 in local salvage yards around here with about 80,000 mi
