Ls1 engine removal
My plan is not to remove the engine but change the whole front since they're selling me the whole front en suspension for $200 and i just needed a rack replace but saw this offer and said why not,
Vehicle was crashed from front and i wanted to know what i should look for

and this it with me using a cherry picker to lift the car and jackstands. no lift. just take you time man, and raise/lower it VERY slowly in a silent garage to listen for anything getting caught up. and you dont need to remove the pcm or unhook it or anything so save a little time there.
Way I see it is taking it out the top you still have to remove everything like you would the bottom, except you don't have to remove brake lines so you don't have to bleed brakes which to me is a big plus. Seems like i can never get the brake lines bleed as good as factory.
Also if you drop the entire k-member do you need to get an alignment again? seems like your alignment be off, as there has to be play in how the k member bolts up????
