Default 396 stroker opinios

Just wanted some more input on the pros and con of the Lunati 395 strokers. Texas Speed is just about finished with mine and I was wandering how much people know about them. How much is the expected power and how well do they hold up? I have PP stage 111 heads with all upgrades and big vavles a 240ish cam and electric waterpump and all bolt-ons. They should be firing it up by Friday, it will also have adjust rollar rockers.
thanks dg

Should run pretty good
the only thing I see that *MIGHT* be a problem on that 396 making big power are the PP heads. Not saying that there bad but if you are trying to take full advantage of those cubes I dont know if those are the best heads to go with but thats just my opinion

what lifters and rockers did you go with?

i agree on the head issue(lol). have you thought about looking into some heads from Cartek,MTI, or GTP? i think they will maximize your engine's output.

These heads are supposed to be pretty good I had the PP stage 11 lq9s already and they made for good power. I decided to upgrade them while the motor was down for bigger valves and such.

What size cam did you use and which heads? Also how much torque did your 395 make?

heads were done by trevor johnson

244 250 .634 .625 lift cam

made 484rwhp and 452rwtq if I remember right

If we had cammed it another way, I think we could have gotten 470 and 470 almost but I am going for 500rwhp. Going to gear it up so I dont care that much about the tq figure.

Default Tsp 396

I have a TSP 396. I have valve train issues that need to be worked out but I think I should be around 490 RWHP. Over 500 when I put the sheet metal intake on...
