Ok cool. That plate is done at 225hp max imo, anymore then that distribution is a BIG, BIG problem. I would suggest direct port ALL the way with that much N20. You could maybe use the plate as a second stage though. Anyways whatelse you got going on with this thing? Triple Disc "lockup" style convertor I hope? 4L60E right? What tire and gear?

as for wanting to do it with that much weight an that trans you have a really tall task ahead..didnt smith set the record? swear i seen him say he was just over 3k some where..not sure though..me i would have a th400 in it an shoot for 3k with driver..

As for the intake, why not spend the money right..your trying to go for a record with a car thats extremely heavy an has a trans not ment for drag..you said you want to get the best power you can n/a before you spray it..why go with a intake that may only work well with your mid lift numbers? an before people jump on me yes fast intakes are nice intakes but you aint going to see one of them on a badass all out piece so why settle for something u dont think would be a terrible combo.

if your worried about longevity with it then i would just keep spraying what you are add some good heads to it,fix the converter and do some weight reduction..if i was going all out for the record with a sbe deal i would be going in full an well knowing this bitch could send a rod threw the block on the first damn lick once i felt i had a tune for a big big hit.
Let me elaborate. I'm going for the sbe nitrous record in an fbody. It's 9.32. Like I said it's up in the air. That's why I posted. I do want to keep rpm down though. The whole point here is I'm trying to be different and do something that hasn't been done. A pretty heavy fbody sbe nitrous car with a 4l60e running low 9's. If I wanted the easier way out(not easy) then I would get a 21000 car and do a setup similar to what you suggested. I'm not interested in making the most power n/a but more so in making great power on the sauce. The reason for a nitrous cam that will force peak below 7k, great flowing heads at mid lift, and a great flowing intake at mid lift. I feel as if its most important in a heavy car.

I'm spraying 250 through it now. Andy carter is at 325 and seems to be working well. Of course a direct port is a better option. Here is a thread listing the mods:

Why are people so scared of droping weight? Its not like your car will be a **** box at 3200 race weight.

The tune is very very conservative. It went the 6.27 and 9.87 on out of the box jetting. 78/44. 18 degrees of timing. Ngkbr8ef plug.

Great. Now buy a set of badass heads, redial in your tune up and go settle some business.

theres a fireturd roller on here for 700 bucks
its free to completely gut it.
swap in your drivetrain
run a cowl hood and cut the wiper cowl in between the blades.
only expensive parts would be the rear end.
fab up an 8.8 on the cheap and find some afcos
bingo...new record
