230/234 112 + 4 idle clip
Hello guys.
I dont post much on the forums but my hole project is based on research on this forum and I just want to share my first start up. Some of the best tips and advise on here... thanks to LS1TECH my 1st ever cam swap turned out great!
Custom speced cam kit by Geoff at EPS complete with LS7 lifters, self ported heads (rocker stud hump removal and port matching), ported stock throttle body with half shaft mod.
cheers

Thanks guys, I can't wait to take her out! Wonder how much power I am leaving on the table with these lobes?

I'm not sure you really lose anything with LXL lobes. See below comparison I did on a "230" lobe. You can see the duration is the same at .050 & .200 with greater lift on LXL. The LXL stretches out 3 more degrees between .006 & .050, making the valve open & close more smoothly. I realize you don't get a complete picture of cam profiles plotting 7 points but it appears like they are similar.
EPS 230 duration @.006"-279, @.050"-230, @.200"-151.....600 lift
LXL 230 duration @.006"-282, @.050"-230, @.200"-151.....609 lift

There are more lobes out there that will most likely make more power like LSL and LSK lobes but they are harder on valvetrain components. EPS lobes are acutually in the Comp catalog as "LSG" lobes.

I'm not really a good dyno / HP predictor, but from what I've read you might need a Fast intake to get 450?
I have a 230/234-113+2 cam in there now but I haven't lit it up yet. Also have new PRC LS6 heads too and hope to have a Fast 92 by spring. The previous setup was EPS 226/230 & ported 241's and I tuned it myself w/ EFILive. Very similar setup to yours.
