I hope you guys are right. That magical 500rwhp is the goal, but with fairly good street manners.

I know the ls3 guys seem to like this cam, just wonder how it would do with the extra cubes? Would the bottom end be better than it is in a ls3

I dunno how it will do. the gm ls3 heads seem very very hit or miss on small bore motors. the valve events gotta be juuust right along with a great tuner. The cam apt G spec'd me is a lot different than that one but im running aftermarket LS3 heads

That's what I'm a little worried about. I know I'll be at least running a 4.030 bore so I hope the heads will perform pretty good. I know they are more suited for 4.065 bore. Seems like all the ls3 guys like it, so I'm hoping that the .035 difference in bore size won't cause a huge issue

it wont be a HUGE issue, but there are heads better suited for your bore.

Are you milling the heads to get your compression up? I know you gotta watch milling sometimes with PTV clearance problems with the big intake valve hitting the cylinder wall.

May go 66cc on the heads with a flat top piston. Trying to get around 11:1. Its true they're better heads for the bore, but for the HP per $$ they're hard to beat. Especially when you don't have to run $1000 fast intake.

The ls3 heads work fine on a 408,they're also a nice improvement on a 6.0.Alot of the ls2 gto guys run them with some real nice gains.

I hope so. I can get the cam at a real good price. Its the exact cam I listed without the advance ground into it.

The comp can I listed is 113+4 and the one I can get is just 113 lsa
