Default lq4 compression w/flat top pistons

what compression ratio will i have with a set of flat top pistons and an stock 4"bore LQ4 with 64cc 243 heads? is it worth buying a set of flat tops versus the dish to gain compression?

What headgasket thickness?? I would say with an .041 thickness...10:8 ish. But depending on how big of a cam u are going to run u might want to consider valve reliefs so u have PTV clearence. Just my thought...thats what i am going to do. And yes it is worth the flat top over dish! IMO

The answer to this question is relative to the cam desired. Obviously milling is the cheapest route if the cam will clear with proper margins.

easier to mill the heads and still use stock mls gasket and have 10.8:1 roughly.Thats what im doing and keeping stock dished pistons with 243 heads.
