Default YANK 3000 stall?

Hey everyone i'm pretty new to ls1tech and i was wondering if anybody had any input on the YANK 3000 stealth thruster TC like track gains and daily driving terms? My car is a 2001 WS6 trans am A4 with slp air lid, lm1 catback, 3.73 gears, p&p throttle body, and ls6 intake (stock).

EDIT: Also would it be safe to put a higher stall on a 143k mile transmission?
The tranny still shifts great.

Only thing I can recommend is going bigger...you'll wish you did. Sometimes I wish I went 3800-4k after I got mine, and I DD it sometimes.

Would the 4k be to much to DD and if not would it take a toll on my tranny?

go with a 3600 or bigger, or you can get a 3000 and kick yourself a year from now.

B&M sells one, Hughes sells one, TCI sells one, hell you name it and I bet everybody makes one. I bought a TCI and had it powder coated yellow and then painted the TCI logo red & black. It looks trick as hell but sadly nobody will ever see it unless I'm getting my oil changed.

But I know its there!

Keep the trans cool and it will live a good amount of time if everything is going right.

If not, my built 4l60e and PTC is up for sale.

This my 427 motor and trans pan. I am running a Performabuilt Trans with a Vig 4200. Should be a fun ride!

minimum yank SS3600, perfect street manners and great launch capabilities. I used SS4000 as DD, since I lived at sea level with no steep inclines it was fine even with 323 gears.

trust me and what the other guys have said dont go with a 3000 go with a 3600 and higher. You will regret it. I have a yanks 3600 in mine with 40,000 miles on it now daily driven and i wish i went a little bit bigger. I dont run a deep pan but i do have a cooler and a gauge and on a hot day in stop and go traffic it doesnt go over 180 but otherwise it stays around 150 on a normal day.

I have one more question. Which way do you guys recommend hooking up the trans cooler?
Should I by pass the stock radiator or should I leave the stocker in the loop before the aftermarket cooler?
