Smile Cam Only Project(DYNO Numbers Added!!!)

Currently have a 2002 TA Ws6 M6 with only 21k miles. I have been contemplating whether or not to stay with bolt ons or go with internal mods... Ended up biting the bullet and spent a decent amount of money with Texas Speed. Current mods are listed below:

Tsp 1 3/4 Lts
Tsp ORY
Slp LM2 exhaust
Slp lid
Potz throttle body
MSD wires
Frost tune

With this set up I put down 357whp and 367tq on a dynojet. Have the graphs posted in the dyno section.

New parts in the picture:
Tsp Tv2 cam 114lsa
Comp 918 springs
Ls2 chain
Tsp pushrods
Powerbond 25% underdrive balancer
Gasket kit and belt kit

Install will be this coming monday along with tuning. Hp tuners will be used and with the 114lsa I am hoping for decent road manners. I also hope to put down 415-420whp when all is said and done. I will post more pics and results once the install is complete.

That's awesome! It almost sounds like my build. @ 28k mile w/ LT's and catback I made 358.5/369.7 and then w/ 50k miles I went cam 228/232 112 Lsa and a power bond ud pulley and hit 400/373. I'm interested to see what you hit.

Thanks for the kind words guys! Cant wait to see how it performs.

It took me a while to decide on a cam. It came down to the 228r and the TV2 cam on 114lsa. I wanted a very tame idle as well as under .600" lift as it is my daily driver. Performance was next on my list and I wanted a cam that would not leave me hungry for more power. Went with the larger TV2 cam and cant wait to report back with drive ability and performance.

Thanks, will do. Picking a cam is one of the hardest mods to settle on... So many options and so many different things to consider... My decision was based on drivability first, power second.

I agree. I am probably going with the sinister cam from HAWKS.

Install is taking place as of this morning. The installer also has HP tuners so we will do a street tune tonight to get the car up and running. Dyno tune is scheduled for Thursday night. Will be the same dyno where I did my bolt on pulls.

I will post up a video tonight of the new set up!

Almost done... Couple more pictures. All comp 918 springs installed with rockers. Just need to put back in the radiator and button everything back up, along with some fresh NGK TR55 plugs.

Have a teaser vid of the first idle after install and brief idle tune. Car is running pretty rich so I didnt take it above 3k rpms. Dyno tune is set for Thursday!
