6.0 for drift?

6.0 for drift?
I finally finishes my sbc build and its time to move on to. The 6.0.
It's an lq4. I really want to.get back into drifting so that's What il use it for.
I've seen it done before. People just pull out the motor and just drop in the.motor and go.
I took mine apart thinking it was bad so it wasn't.
So since its just going to be all motor would I be ok.with the same rods, crank and pistons it came with? Or would I be better of with new rods and hypereutectic pistons?
I know the crank can handle it. The hypereutectic are ok to 500hp which is around Whay I want. And the rods I've seen go bad alot.
Im.just confused as to what parts to use.

a stock LQ4 or LQ9 should be able to handle 500rwhp pretty easily if the tune and fueling is spot on. How high do you plan on spinning the motor and for how long? If anything I would probably do ARP rod bolts and a nice high flow oil pump.
From my experience it is high RPM and a lack of oil at high RPM that kills these motors. What car is it going in?

It was going into my BMW but that went to crap.
And Ive seen the rods break.before and pushrods bend so I'd replace those I think. As far as rpm I'd imagine pretty high. Since I took it apart you think I should just re use the internals?

Alright so I'm going to just put my 6.0 together and use it as is.
Basically an overhaul since its torn down. New bearings, Arp hardware all around new gaskets.
New pushrods, new cam, lifters springs and rockers depending on the cam.
High flow oil pump. Does that all sound decent for my drift set up?
And would any of you got any advice before putting back together?
Rite now the block, pistons, and rods are in the oven getting cleaned up.
As well as the crank.

you will be just fine. but the fellas above are correct about the pushrods, get nice ones, and the fueling must be correct, make sure you dyno tune it with someone who knows their S***.

Perfect! Sounds pretty simple. A mild build for the top
End a spot on tuning.
I was just wondering are these like old sbc rods.were
I need to recondition them?
And since the lq4 came with an auto do I need any
Aftermarket adapter or space to make it work with a t56?
End a spot on tuning.

So long as it doesn't have the extended crank it will work w a t56. If you dont know is the flexplate flat or curved? What tranny was behind it 4l60, 4l80,6l80? What year is the motor 24x or 58x?

Mileage is unknown. The only sign of mileage I saw was the oil change sticker.
Said close to333000 miles.but.it don't seem like it. And its a 24x wheel.
Had a 4l80e and that's all I know!
