Newbie to LS1 Help Cam/Springs/Roller Rockers
I bought a motor with mods done to it already.. I just want to get some opinions on this setup before I swap this motor.
The motor is a LS1 from a 2002 car with about 100 000 miles.
Owner paid a shop to install:
LS6 Cam and Springs
1.8 Roller rockers (from jegs) don't know what brand
ARP pushrods and head bolts
BBK Intake
Unknown Dampener/Underdrive? (help with picture?)
Will I be fine with the 1.8RR and LS6 Cam and Springs or should I swap the springs while the motor is out.
Should stock injectors be okay with this setup?
How good are the stock oil pumps and timing chains? Would it be wise to replace them as well?
Who could do a good job with a mail order tune with this setup.
Thanks

Frost dose great mail order tunes.you should get a new timing chain and oil pump, get a ls2 chain from Texas Speed.stock injectors will be ok.consider a new cam pkg form Texas Speed for $600,cam,springs,harden push rods.I wonder if the 1.8 rockers will affect the lift rate and need better springs then stock GMs springs.

It would not be a bad idea to swap out the springs, oil pump, and timing chain. it would be more of a peice of mind knowing its set up good. The stock injectors will be ok with that setup. Ive never had a mail order tune, ive always had dyno tunes done. I have heard alot of good things about Frost though.

you will need a better cam to make 400rwhp.if you have stock GM valve springs the 1.8 rockers mite be too much for the GM springs.you mite not have enough spring pressure for a changed of more lift and increased rate of lift.

Been doing a lot of research and basically a lot of people don't approve the 1.8RR. The only reason why I want to keep them is to keep costs down on my build, but if they are going to prevent me from getting my goal I'd rather sell them.
Is there a good cam with low lift rates I can use with my roller rockers which will have good under the curve power with torque and get me close to 400 rwhp?
