Sup guys got a buddy that has a complete 2003 5.7 an I was wondering if any parts fit my 07 5.3 as in

Oil pan / valve covers / pullys / power steering an braket ect ect

What parts should I get I only got short block no pan no front cover or vally cover I got heads on side 243s but wanna get parts to seal the shortblock on the vally cover I tried using a LS 6 cover an it dnt fit or a 6.0 vally cover my buddy mention my block been a newer style block VVT

Well start off with what PCM You're going to use . Since You're short block is a 2007 , it has a 58x crankshaft reluctor so You're best bet would be to use a 2005-gen4 PCM so You're going to need the gen4 front cover unless You use an earlier cam that has the reluctor at the back of the cam. the oil pan will work and so will the valve covers . the front accessories are spaced front to back differently so if You want to use any of the LS1 acessories You have to use it all (crank damper, power steering alt bracket, water pump) The heads (243's) will work on the gen4 5.3L just make sure to check ptv clearance and measure for what p-rods You'll need .

Wen I purchase the shortblock the guy threw in the hole complete harness wit ecu from a Yukon as for the oil pan is it sump more than the trucks or ls1 oil pans as when u say gen 4 u meaning ls2 parts like the 2010 camaros
