Default What pistons are these? Came in my ls1 longblock I bought

Hey guys, think you could identify these pistons for me? They came in an ls1 longblock I bought for my 68 Firebird

Im tearing down the motor for a rebuild, but found these under the heads....

Thanks

Just a quick clean up

they look like a typical forged 2618 aluminum flat top piston with -2cc valve reliefs...

mahle, diamond, wiseco etc..

do you have the pan off you could read the # off of them by looking at the bottom of them..

Hard to say. Look like a old set of Lunatis or Probes.

the pistons look in great shape.if the cylinder walls look ok ,just clean the short block up and use it.

Id be more careful cleaning those pistons, looks like you scatched the top pretty good. you don't want that.

If you have the motor tore apart that much already then I would just go ahead and take out the pistons. Then you will be able to know for sure what they are. Besides that block needs a good cleaning anyway.

Those aren't Mahle's either, my pistons have the part number on the piston top.

They dont look like Wiseco's either. They have a p/n stamped on the top of them about the reliefs. Maybe ross/probe/je?

Can you flip it over and look at the bottom of the piston by the wristpin?
