Default looking for suggestions

I have a LQ4 short block that I'm fixing to get ready to work on for my T/A.

Car is a M6 with suspension mods and will have a 8.8 rear with 4.10's.

Car is not a DD, will hopefully see track use.

What I have so far:

LQ4 short block
Set of 8 LS2 pistons
243 heads with Trunion upgrade for the rockers
LS6 Intake till I can afford a FAST
All my LS1 accessories & oil pan
LS2 Timing Chain

Plan on getting:

LS6 oil pump
Chrome Moly Push Rods

Open for suggestions on CAM....want mid 400's would love higher is possible without N2O.

Going with this setup till I can save up for a 408 build later (much later).

Well you have gears so I would suggest a larger cam. Have you looked into a Polluter cam? Give Martin at Tick Performance a call. He is great to talk to and will be able to help you out and meet your goals.

Get a custom spec'd cam from PatG/EPS, Ed Curtis @ Flowtech Induction, or Martin@Tick.

Here is a Tick shelf grind that'd be cool:

Since you're going with essentially an Iron Block LS2, try the SNS Torquemax series for LS2 engines from Tick. The Stage 3 is more of a track cam, so that should work nicely. And you have the choice of more aggressive or milder lobes based on how much you want to beat on the springs/lifters/pushrods/rockers/valve tips.

Polluter is also a good choice:

All are the same price from Tick.

If you compare package to package....you'll also find that Ticks complete package (oil pump&timing chain) along with the cam/springs/pushrods is cheaper than the competition.

Thanks for the suggestions guys! The Stage 3 Torquemax cam is a great cam, but if you really want every last bit and want to be in the mid 400's the Polluter V.2 will do it with ease!

We've made 440rwhp/405rwtq with a LS2 intake, 243 heads, 1x7/8" LT's, ORX, Corsa Cat-back and a vararam intake. Still had stock TB, stock MAF and no other bolt ons.

With a Fast I'd expect this set-up to easily clear 450rwhp/415rwtq if not more!
